TriClear Acne Treatment Ads - An Example of What Not To Do

OK - so this post is not about coupons, but I am so disgusted by this online advertisement that I had to vent somewhere.

Every time I log into my Yahoo account, I see this awful ad for TriClear (which is an acne treatment). The ad shows a close-up of a chin with a bunch of whiteheads, which are then "erased" from the treatment. The problem is that the zits are really gross (and big), and it makes me NOT want to buy the product. I prefer ads that are more subtle, please...

Thankfully, I've never seen a Proactiv or Murad ad like that. It's one thing to show "before and after" pictures on your web site, but there's just no need to be that graphic in your ads. Yuck!
