Join Us in the Fight Against Poverty - Blog Action Day

In an effort to support those in need, we have created a donation page to Help Fight Poverty through Change.org. Our goal is to raise $5,000 in the next few weeks, and we have kicked off the project with a $1,000 donation to the Blog Action Day 'Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria'.

Simple ways to support the fight against poverty...

• Support The Hunger Site by using their "Click to Give" feature (it's free!)
  
• Make a donation to Save the Children
• Make a donation through our Help Fight Poverty page at change.org
  
• Donate non-perishable goods to your local food pantry
• Donate clothing to your local Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries or other clothing donation drop-box
  
• Donate your American Airlines Mileage Plus miles to Salvation Army
• Donate airlines miles to the Red Cross
  
• Search for a local volunteer opportunity at VolunteerMatch.org
• Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program
• Give the gift of a donation to The Hiefer Project, and use one of their printable gift inserts
• Donate your car to Habitat for Humanity
  
• Have a yard sale, bake sale or other fun event, and donate the proceeds to the charity of your choice
