Some merchants never or rarely have coupons, but that doesn't mean there aren't ways to save!
Here is a unique way to get discounted gift certificates for retail stores, restaurants, movies, etc. Right now, GiftCertificates.com has a very rare coupon for 10% off Gift Certificate purchases of $100 or more (exp 12/31/07).
Gift certificates are available for many stores, but the list here is focused on those stores that don't usually have any coupons (or discounts) available. With the GifCertificates.com coupon code, you can get 10% off your gift certificate purchase for:
- T.J. Maxx
- Barneys New York
- Belk
- Bloomingdale's
- Dillard's
- Gordmans
- Lord & Taylor
- Neiman Marcus
- Saks Fifth Avenue
- Talbots
- The Bon-Ton
- Old Navy
- Gap
- American Eagle Outfitters
- Banana Republic
- J Crew
- LL Bean
- Lands End
- Men's Wearhouse
- Motherhood Maternity
- The Limited
- Staples
- AMC Theaters
- Fandango
- Bed Bath & Beyond
- Crate & Barrel
- Pier 1 Imports
- Pottery Barn
- Pottery Barn Kids
- Restoration Hardware
- Williams-Sonoma
- American Airlines
- Legal Sea Foods
- Blue Nile
- Bath & Body Works
- Famous Footwear
- Pep Boys
There is a catch: shipping fees apply, as well as what looks like a $1 processing fee per gift card / certificate.
To get the 10% off $100, pick up the GifCertificates.com coupon code at CouponHeaven.com, and use the code during checkout.
To test this offer, we chose a $100 Pottery Barn gift certificate. Shipping charges of $1.95 were assessed, as well as a $1 processing fee, which brought the total to $92.95 (after the 10% discount). The real savings is 7%, and that's pretty good for a store that doesn't usually offer coupons or extra discounts.
Because of the processing fee, this offer is best used for gift card purchases of $100 each (not four $25 certificates).
BONUS! When you are ready to shop, check for a printable coupon to use in the retail store or an online coupon code to use at the merchant web site. Most of the stores mentioned above don't offer coupons, but you never know...that may change.
